I finally opened my eyes and looked around while still in a state of sleep today. I couldn't actually move any of my limbs except my eyes. It lasted about 3-5 seconds then I closed my eyes and seamlessly transferred back in my balls-to-the-wall action dream. For those who don't know, I've tried to go to sleep with the thought that I can control my waking body while remaining asleep. I've only done this without trying a few times, so my own will was not expressed in my actions. However, this time I forcefully opened my eyes, saw my bright room, seemed to be paralyzed like somebody with Lou Gehrig's disease, then was back asleep.
So horray. I hope to develop this into a skill that solves the mysteries of the universe. Maybe I have to do it 42 times.
